Slack

Harmonic can post shout-outs into a Slack channel, so recognition lands where your team already talks.

Being precise about what this is: a one-way incoming webhook. Harmonic posts recognition to Slack. There are no slash commands, no Slack sign-in, and nothing is read from your Slack workspace.

Set it up

  1. In Slack, create an incoming webhook for the channel you want (Slack: Apps → Incoming Webhooks → Add to Slack, pick the channel). Slack gives you a URL starting with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
  2. In Harmonic, open Settings → Slack (admins only) and paste the URL.
  3. Use Send test message to confirm it arrives in the channel.

From then on, every shout-out posts to that channel as it happens.

If messages stop arriving

If Slack rejects deliveries repeatedly — usually because the webhook was deleted or the channel was archived — Harmonic disables the connection after 5 consecutive failures rather than posting into the void. Create a fresh webhook in Slack and paste the new URL to reconnect.

Turning it off

Remove the webhook URL in Settings → Slack, or delete the webhook on the Slack side. Either fully stops delivery.
